DIY-Dried flowers

Flowers make me go crazy.but it isnt possible that we buy fresh flowers daily.
This summer I tried my hands on making a dry flower arrangement.
Heliconia is classified as a rare plant. This is how it looks.

I plucked some, left it to dry under the sun for a few hours and then my daughter and self tried painting the flowers.

This is the result. Let me know, will you try it too?

Madhubani Paintings

Gods,Goddess and various elements of nature are the preferred subjects for a madhubani artist. Iam really at loss of words.Look at the colours, the simplicity of design and how even a black & white picture can capture our attention. Hats off to the artisans whose resourcefulness has ensured that this art form continues to have a world wide market.

HANDS AT WORK

This is a quilt that I have made for my little niece / nephew who will bless our family soon. The cats are all set to welcome the little bundle of joy.

I am proud that I belong to a family of art lovers and artists in our own right. These are some "handiwork" of my mother-in-law.
